Water Bowl Project

This project was started in 2010 in India by Sarita Raturi. The Water Bowl Project for Animals is designed to alleviate the suffering of homeless animals on the streets of India. Our goal is to provide specially designed cement bowls for free to animal lovers who can fill clean drinking water everyday for stray animals in their areas. This project is currently active in 7 cities, with bowls being refilled 365 days a year for our stray animals. We have distributed 50,000 Water bowls so far. Every effort is being made to find local animal lovers in cities/towns all over India, to enable us to start this project in their city/town.

Our project is currently active 365 days a year in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Baroda, Pune, Delhi, Rishikesh and surrounding areas. We would highly appreciate anyone in India who steps up to help us coordinate locally and help in distribution of bowls in their city/town.

Any animal lover who is interested in helping to coordinate locally in their city, town in India, please contact Sarita Raturi by email: saritaraturi00@gmail.com

Feeding Project

The Feeding Project, launched in June 2024, was established to support six orphaned puppies in Bombay after their mother tragically passed away in a road accident. Left vulnerable and in urgent need of care, Compassion for Animals self-funded the initiative to provide them with essential food and resources for their survival and growth. We provided cement water bowls that are refilled daily with the food we've provided. Additionally, we ensured they were spayed/neutered and coordinated with a veterinarian to administer their 9-in-1 vaccinations. Since then, we have expanded our efforts to provide food to many more areas of Mumbai. With sufficient funding, we hope to extend our feeding project to every animal in need of food and water.
